There’s no dearth of inspiring movies in Bollywood. For the last few years, many movies have hit the silver screen glorifying Bollywood’s pro-feminist stand. Below is the list of movies that can inspire the female population of the country to become self-made entrepreneurs in life.

  1. Band Baaja Baaraat: One of the most influential films directed by debutant Maneesh Sharma, the film follows the story of a girl and a boy who team up to start a wedding planning business and their struggle on achieving their goals. Starring Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma, the film has a message that the entrepreneurs should know about their personal, professional, and business life. The movie also talks about the passion which is more important rather than the qualification and moreover it teaches us to be a group player. The film was a sleeper hit and was later remade in many regional languages.
  • Hindi Medium: This movie is about a self-made businessman Irrfan Khan struggling to get his daughter admitted to a big school. The institution demands the parents to be literate as they were not. As a consequence, he decides to get her daughter admitted through a quota reserved for the economically backward people of the society. The family shifts to an average place of living, quitting the comforts and lavishness of their big home. The movie also depicts the challenges faced by the rich and the poor. You are going to love the subject and humor depicted in the movie. The movie gives a moral message that education from a big school does not always equate success after you grow up. Every entrepreneur will love this Bollywood movie.
  • Corporate: This 2006 Mani Ratnam directed business drama film is based on the 2003 case when an NGO (Non-Governmental Organizations) had claimed that pesticides were present in Coke, Pepsi, and other similar drinks. It showed the unaware dark side of the business world where people with power and money would do anything to remain at the top. Starring Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba, Kay Kay Menon, and Rajat Kapoor, the film met with favorable reviews by critics and strong box-office response.
  • Sonali Cable: This is one of the unnoticed films which had women entrepreneurship as the protagonist. The film tells the story about a girl who stands up against the Corporate shark that is out there to engulf small businesses like hers.
  • English Vinglish: Although the film’s focus is on how the middle-aged warrior Shashi (played by Sreedevi in the film) struggles with her insecurity of not knowing the language English. Right when the titles roll out at the beginning of the movie, we are shown that she is a successful entrepreneur. She runs a home-based laddoo venture—one that she manages alone, right from cooking, packing up to even special deliveries to the customers. She indulges in her passion for cooking and makes some bucks out of it, too. Her business and her talent for making great food is no more than a joke to her partner, who constantly makes fun of her in front of others. But it is her business only that funds Shashi’s dream of enrolling in an English course when she is in Manhattan.
  • Guru: Starring Abhishek Bachchan is one of the most popular and loved movies of his entire career. The movie is a great reflection of the life of the man who started the Reliance company, Dhirubhai Ambani. Although the makers of the film never publicly claimed that the cinematic venture was Dhirubhai’s inspiring story, the audience and critics who watched the film could question Dhirubhai Ambani’s rise being portrayed on the Bollywood screen. Mani Ratnam’s directorial creativity makes the movie attractive, especially if you’re an innovative soul seeking to commence your own company. You will get some insight into what real entrepreneurship meant in the 1950s! It is one of the best Bollywood movies on business and entrepreneurship in the history of Bollywood.

A three-week group vacation to Spain makes them realize that it’s not worth being stressed and giving up on life. The direction is amazing and there many plot-twists in the movie, so the movie isn’t going to bore you at all.
